The Northern Ontario Classic Cruisers was founded in January of 2000 by Fred Pettit
We are a 100 % Non Profit organization!!
It all started with only 15 members and membership has increased each year.
You don't have to have a Classic Car to become a member!
We have a little bit of everything!
From Trucks, Rat Rods, Hot Rods etc.
Everything from the 1900's all the way to Today!
Our club has taken part in many Charity Events including:
Poker Run for Camp Quality
Shelter House Relay
Crohn’s & Colitis Fundraiser
Darkside Choppers Drive’n Ride Fundraisers for The Thunder Bay Regional Hospital Renal Unit, & Cancer Clinic
Boys & Girls Club
We have also taken part in city events such as:
Thunder at the Bay
Red River Rumble
Casino Canada Day Parade
May Street Festival
Westfort Street Fair
Kakabeka Street Fair
Patrick Wilson's Thur Cruise Night
Da Vinci Cruise Night
We have attended out of town events such as:
Nipigon Car Show
Atikokan Car Show
Tofte 4th of July Parade
Grand Portage Lodge & Casino Car Show
Back to the 50's
We have also taken part in numerous runs to Grand Marais and driving down to the Gunflint Trail.
The club enjoys many barbeques hosted by members and local runs to outlying areas, always ending with a great meal.
Also our Picnics, Corn Roast and the Fall Colours Tour.
We host an annual Car Show that has grown each year that has included Gas Guzzler, clowns, & vendors and an engine give-away for all registered participants.
We have had guest speakers attend to introduce sponsors, insurance companies or a local event.
We also have attended many interesting seminars put on by our wonderful sponsors.
We do garage tours of members and friends to get thru those long northern winters.
During October to April we meet for supper on the 3 rd Saturday of each month.
We meet on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. at the Slovak Legion.
